I’m currently in the process of revamping this site.  Photography is one of those arts, not unlike music that I so love, that lends itself to theft.  Photography is more than just pointing the camera and pushing a button. It involves the vision of the artist behind the camera. Editing as well involves a creative vision.  All of this takes time, resources and energy to bring to life.

Several of my images will be available through partner businesses to purchase as prints.  Some will be in connection with other artists for the purpose of raising funds for charities as well.

Please stay tuned!

Out of the Labyrinth

For those of you that know me “Out of The Labyrinth” is not surprising as a name for my photography.  For those of you that don’t know me,  the brief story is this;  When I was about 3 years old, my Dad’s business partner’s father , who we called Grampa Ed, said to me, “Your name isn’t Adrienne, it’s Ariadne.”

From that time forward that is what he called me.  The name itself meant nothing to me while I was young.   When I was older I looked it up and learned of the King, the Minotaur, Ariadne, Theseus, Dionysus and The Labyrinth.

Ariadne and the ideology of the Labyrinth has always been with me.  And most likely always will be.

In the late 1990’s my father was part of creating the Labyrinth that is the featured image here (not my photo).  I didn’t know anything really of it or connect it and I didn’t get to see it until my Mum passed away in 2010.  And then I walked it. And it sunk in.

Irony.  It is my life.

There is always a way Out of the Labyrinth to the Truth,  and that way is clear vision. And that is what I try to see in all things with including what I photograph.
